Dollar store dots

In an effort to catch up, Im posting two today!  This is my dollar store nail polish day.... These little dots look adorable, and I love them even though they were cheap... and I may be in love with this blue.  They may not last long, but they are both the perfect shades, and fairly easy to work with.  I liked them.  This mani matched my outfit that day (though it was basketball shorts and a T-shirt lol)

Hi- Def Gradient

So... I have been a way for a hot second.  Lol I have been wrapped up in life and all that goes along with it! I have a simple mani for you that I did while I was home, stranded without clean up tools (my brush and good acetone) but I managed a decent mani anyhow  =)  It only lasted about a day though, because I used a veeerryyy non-sticky base coat that would NOT adhere to my nails- not that manis last long on me anyways (even with a great base coat I can only usually get about three days out of them, maybe four)  Anyhow, this is Sally Hansens HD Byte with a gradient using a Wet 'n' Wild glitter.

Guest you wanna Polka??

Another guest appearance, my brothers girlfriend!!!  For this mani, I started with Loreal's Amazons Flare, which is a pink jelly (which I do not prefer-- I am much more fond of full coverage)  and did the dots with three old polishes I had laying around my house: NYC's Downtown, and unnamed shimmery pink Wet 'n' wild, d Sally Hansen's Girlie Glimmer.

Mommas' Marbled Mani

Hello, Hello!! Long time no blog!  I have a reason!!!  I am in a different state, my home state/town to be exact =)  I love being home and spending time with my family so much that my blog is suffering.  In any case today we have a guest appearance!  My mom =D  I painted her nails yesterday, something super simple, so this will be a quick one.  For her I wanted something seductive, cause mama needs some love ;) so I started with a dark pink from NYC called Downtown that may very well be 3 years old.

NYC's Downtown
And then I water marbled her pointer fingers for some edge.   The water marble did not work as planned because I used an old polish, a sheer polish, and a polish that dries too quickly.... all of which are not preferable qualities for water marbling. Well... that and I had a screaming two year old running around that kept bumping the table and trying to play with my water... he was a little pink by the end of this escapade. Oops...  In any case, this is how it turned out.

Crackle me up

Another bright an beautiful day in Nebraska, so another bright and colorful mani was absolutely necessary!!  I saw this on pinterest once upon a time, but it takes me to an Avon site with the original picture nowhere to be found... Hmmm... However, I thought I would give it a go.  It is SUPER simple, but it is interesting in that I don't think that I would have ever thought to have put a different color on each nail, and done a white crackle on all of them.

Here are the colors I used:
OPI Nail envy for sensitive and peeling, OPI (unnamed), Zoya Phoebe,  China Glaze  Cha Cha Cha, Sally Girl (unnamed),
China Glaze 108 Degrees, Orly Wont Chip, OPI White Crackle, Rimmel Top coat, Orly Love Each Other
Look at all those colors!!  I love each and every one of them... a lot. ^.^ lol anyhow...
Nail envy, with two coats each color with Wont Chip

Look!!  A rainbow!!!  On my fingers!!!

Shine of the Times makes everything better

So lately the weather has been amazing so naturally I wanted something either super bright, or light an airy.  Since my last mani was super bright and fun, I decided I wanted something a little lighter and more airy this time  =) I pulled out an OOOLLLDDDD bottle of polish.  It didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it, so I kept adding to it, and adding to it, and I ended up LOVING it in the end!!   This is kinda how it went...
First off these are all of the bottles of polish I used during this process....  Mind you three of these are a base coat and two top coats.
Sally Hansens Miracle cure, Orly Wont Chip , NK Pretty Pink, Revlon Sweet Nothings Satin Sheets,
Essie Shine of the Times, and Rimmel Base coat/top coat Pro

I sold my soul for a Kindle Fire...

I have been put on a Stop 'til you drop shop cessation. Sounds about right... I needed a break from purchasing so many nail polishes!!!  I made a promise that if I didn't buy any nail polish for two months... I repeat, TWO MONTHS... I could have a kindle fire.  So for the next two months, I challenge myself to find different ways to use the polishes I have to create new designs!  I think it will be fun!!!  A challenge within a challenge!  Challenge-ception! I can do this!!  Anyhow, I have a new Kindle Fire out of the deal, so I am thrilled to say the least =D

Now on to business!

I actually did this mani the day after the last Cheetah print mani.   It is a twist off of the last cheetah print mani, but is very different from it.  Brittani and I had matching-ish mani's!!!  I was going to entitle it "Copy Cat" (get it, because Cheetahs are felines??)  but she was pretty excited about it, and so was I, sooooo I opted to go without a title and use my intro as the title lol

Any how, my latest purchase, BEFORE I sold my soul, was these beauties

Zoya's Lolly, Phoebe, and Mitzi (respectfully)

They are a matte collection from 2011.  I am quite nearly in love with Phoebe.... pardon the phrase.  The colors are amazinnngggg  and Pheobe has this shimmer to it that just gleams with radiance.  I did have trouble with application, however.  It may just be because they were matte, but they kept catching and smearing the previous layer.  They also chipped SUPER fast even though I had done a topcoat, and then another layer on top as suggested by other bloggers.  But I still love the colors, and will definitely be using them again lol.  Anyhow, enough of my jabber about the product and onward with the mani!

Just to get a feel for the colors:  without the cheetah print
With the cheetah print (left hand)

She's not a Cheat-ah, but she's Fierce!

So today I did my friend, Brittani's nails.  I LOVE them!!!  I learned how to do a Cheetah print and I practiced on her ;)  I love when my friends let me paint their nails lol Anyways, onward we go!  For this mani I used the following:
Rimmel Base Coat/ Top Coat Pro,  Finger Paints Paper Mache, Wet n' Wild I need a Refresh-Mint,
Rimmel in Posh pink, Wild Orchid, and Black Satin
(respectfully)
And here was the result =) There are a TON of pictures... I had to =P sorry!!!

animal print all the way bay-bee (I bought this in Italy :) )

Love All Around!

No new nails today... but I figured I would send some love everybody's way ^.^

Everyone loves puppy kisses!  And if you don't.... how about some kitten kisses??

...no??  Ok... Then how about....

Yup.  That will definitely have done it.  Have a beautiful day full of love =D

An Award!! For Me??

EEK!!!!  I was given my first award by Anna!!!  And so early!!!  Lol!
I am not entirely sure about the ins and outs of blogger awards yet, but hopefully (with practice teehee) I will learn!  Here goes nothing.... wish me luck!!

The rules:
1. Nominate 15 fellow bloggers who are relatively new to blogging.
2. Let them know that you have nominated them.
3. Share 7 random facts about yourself.
4. Thank the blogger who nominated you.
5. Add the Versatile Blogger Award picture to your blog post.

7 things about me:
1. I will be graduating in May-- the day before my future husband =P.
2. I'm a puzzle fool.... I looove puzzles.  Like a grandma who has nothing better to do with her time LOL
3. I don't necessarily like making cakes but I LOVE decorating cakes!!!  Maybe I should do some posts of cakes I decorate!
4. I am a people person, but I regenerate myself by being alone or with one or two people.
5. I loooooveeee movies.  I could watch movies all day!  I know quotes from movies after the first times I have watched it lol unless it was not that great and then I forget I watched it
6. As with many nail bloggers I used to bite my nails, and I still kind of do if they're not polished-- This was already on here from Anna haha-- sorry girl I stole it and kept it as my number 6!
7. I will not, under any circumstances, watch horror movies.  I wont.  They terrify me.  But likewise things that scare most people-- such as things that really could happen (heinous murders, and psychological thrillers) don't scare me at all... I just try to figure out who did it the whole time and piss off whoever is watching the movie with me (except for Matt-- he helps me figure it out LOL)

Diagonal Pastel Dots

Soooooo I got some new colors from the drugstore today and I bought two pastels that I was DYING to use!!    So I did :)  For this mani I started with Rimmel Wild Orchid-- I was feeling in a Purpley mood ^.^

A Throwback... This Early

I am still keeping on my beautiful latte sandwich water marble from the 1st, so I am going to show you guys a design I did a couple of weeks ago!  It screams nautical to me, though it may not to everyone lol for some reason anything with a goldish color, white, and a dark color resembles boats and anchors lol-- though it may just be that I really wanted to do this with dark blue and just could not swing it.  Anyhow, for this I used my Fingerpaints in Paper Mache, Revlon in Copper Penny, and Sally Hansen Insta Dri in Night Flight.

Pet peeves and fun

Just a fun picture for the day =)

I hate when people ask me stupid questions lol  One of my biggest pet peeves, if I HAD to narrow it down, would be when people shuffle their feet... I mean seriously... why can't you just pick up your feet!!!  It seem like girls simply cannot pick up their feet when they wear Uggs either... normal shoes: walking fine-- Uggs: shuffling like an idiot. Anywho, I asked my future husband what his is and he said his is when people misuse memes on memebase.com lol gotta love him!!

This one is for my fiance ;) (lol) I'm sorry I had to!

What is your biggest pet peeve??

Polka Dot Pedi

After a long day of cleaning I decided to do my toes =)  Don't judge... Toes are not my forte!  And I could definitely have stood to use cuticle oil or skin cream before I took pictures... my skin is hella dry from the weather-- Oopsie!!  Also, please excuse my sausage toes ^.^ they came that way.

I used Fingerpaints Paper Mache (hold the accents-- I don't know how to make those... =P) as my base color, and for the dots I used Hard as Nails Purple Potion, Nicole Listen to Your Momager, China Glaze Cha Cha Cha, China Glaze 108 Degrees, and a Sally Girl mini that doesn't have a name.

I kinda messed up my right foot... LOL the dots are not spaced out evenly

A close up of the left big toe
I think next time I will do the dots differently.  This time I did each color separately, first pink, then orange, green, purple, then blue last... next time I think I will do dots starting from the top and do them in a pattern or something and maybe that will help with the spacing!  What do you guys think??

Also....

Just sayin.

^.^

Nubar Holo! Isn't she a beaut!

Just because I feel like my page is naked, I will post another one from the past... =) This is one of my Holo babies, Nubar Reclaim.  This particular mani was also a sandwich mani, but this one was not as effective as the last.  I did not have my structure gel at this point, so even as I was taking pictures they were denting and smudging and the like.

I added quite a few pictures of this one because you cannot fully soak up the beauty with just one or two, so hold on tight!!

This was with a LED flashlight shining on it

I believe this was just with a normal light shining on it

Under a fluorescent kitchen light

With flash
Again with the LED flashlight =)

This stayed on with no chipping for about five days-- mind you even with full Gelish my manicures do not stay on well-- I guess I have SUPER non- sticky skin??  Anywho, I emphasize "chipping" because although there was no chippin', they were scratched, and dented and smudged.... I should have taken after pictures, that would have been worth a laugh! lol

Have a fantastic day!! =D

Latte Water Marble

Good morning =)  I did my first water marble on myself yesterday!!  I have water marbled friends nails before, but I finally did my own lol.  I also tried a sandwich mani with this marble-- I did gellish foundation, my base color OPI Dulce DeLeche, and marbled with Dulce DeLeche and China Glaze Concrete Catwalk, with Gelish structure gel after that, finishing off with Gelish Top it off.  That is the only way I have been able to get the sandwich mani to work-- with the structure gel.  Without it, everything seems to just stay mushy and you can still ruin it days later... almost as if it doesn't set.  BUT with structure gel, it sets, and is just as hard as if you used Gelish polish in between =)

Left hand-- Please excuse my embarrassing stubby thumb nail...

Right hand
At first this mani made me think a smokey room or something, but then a fellow pinterester made  me feel better by telling me she thought it looked like the top of a latte or something like that.  I like that SO much better =D

I hope you guys have a fantastic day!!!!
