Shine of the Times makes everything better

So lately the weather has been amazing so naturally I wanted something either super bright, or light an airy.  Since my last mani was super bright and fun, I decided I wanted something a little lighter and more airy this time  =) I pulled out an OOOLLLDDDD bottle of polish.  It didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it, so I kept adding to it, and adding to it, and I ended up LOVING it in the end!!   This is kinda how it went...
First off these are all of the bottles of polish I used during this process....  Mind you three of these are a base coat and two top coats.
Sally Hansens Miracle cure, Orly Wont Chip , NK Pretty Pink, Revlon Sweet Nothings Satin Sheets,
Essie Shine of the Times, and Rimmel Base coat/top coat Pro
The Sally Hansen was needed because I am having a serious problem with peeling and I just ordered OPI's Nail Envy (before I am scolded, I must note that I was allowed to buy this one because I showed my fiance my nails and he cringed.... I will show you guys pictures when I do a review of the product) and am waiting for it to come in the mail... This is the only "restorative" product I had in my stash... for the record, not working.  Though I do not believe that peeling is their intended goal to remedy. I used the anti-chip because that nail polish peels really easily.  Now onto colors!!!

The realllllyyyyyy old color I used was my NK Pretty pink.  I have had this bottle for at least six years.  This is two coats.

It had a really pretty pink base, with a purple shimmer to it, but it was not quite what i was looking for... especially when you can see my splits and peels through the color.  So I found another sheer, light color that I have had stashed away for a long time that I remembered liking a lot: Revlon Sweet Nothings Satin Sheets and added that!  And this is what I got.

As you can see, It did not change a WHOLE lot, but it added a shimmer to it.  You could see the pink with a purple shimmer through it, and it added a creamy translucent-y white.... sheet?... over it lol and it was pretty... but not what i wanted.... Sooooooo I looked through my stash and I spy-ed with my little eye Essie's Shine of the Times.  Oh. Yes. Please.  So what the heck, I threw that on there too.  And VOILA!! this is what I got ^.^

And now you see why I entitled this post "Shine of the Times makes everything better."  This may be one of my favorite light and airy manicures ever =) Though next time, I may skip a few layers of excess polish LOL Maybe just start off with a light polish and go to Essie.

And since the sun is shining here, and the weather is 80 and rising, here is a little something to brighten yours =)
By the way...
