Cinderella and Strawberry Fields Flowers

Oh my gosh I'm so far behind on life!!  Sorry I haven't blogged in so long!  Wedding planning and working on finals/ finishing homework so I can graduate in 18 days is eating up all of my free time lol  here is what I have for you today!!  I went to my aunts baby shower, so I semi-themed my nails =)  baby blue with baby pink glass fleck speclkes (Cinderella from Sinful colors) and  two accent nails on each hand that are a bright dark-ish pink with gold glass fleck speckles (Strawberry fields by China Glaze) lol and it seemed quite plain so I added little flowers (since the baby is supposed to be a BABY GIRL :D).  I used a speckled black (Stone cold from China Glaze's Hunger Game series) and the petals were a suuuperrrr light pink, almost pearly white (Play the Peonies by O.P.I)  And this is how they turned out

My best design from this round ^.^

I messed up all of the flowers except for the ones on the thumb on my left hand LOL oops, I'm still practicing those little suckers.  Please excuse my dry cuticles... it slipped my mind to apply some cuticle oil before I took pictures this time... OY.  But anyways, I took pictures from before I put the flowers on too, and here those are =)

I tried to capture the full essence and beauty of Cinderella and Strawberry fields, but somehow they just do not translate through photographs.... =(  soooo... that means that you will just have to trust me, add them to your collection, and fall in love with them yourself ;)  I do have a small qualm with Cinderella though.  I do not know if it was just my bottle, or if all of them are the same, but I had a terrible time applying it.  I took 3 layers, and it was kinda chunky and uneven while it was applying... plus it was a really strange consistency.  BUT it's soooo pretty!!!!  I just do not know.  But that is what I had to show you for the day =)

Now I have a question for you!  I am planning my wedding for November and I need ideas for a guest book!  Matt is partial to a traditional guest book, but I would love to spice it up and try something a little different!  Does anyone have any ideas???

I'm pretty excited, this means that in November, I get to be Cinderella ^.^ hehe

  2. So, so cute! I love it! A good compromise on the guestbook could be this: have a polaroid camera so that each person/couple can take a picture and put that near their signature in a scrapbook.

    1. That is a good idea! We would have to have a scavenger hunt to find an old fashioned polaroid camera with film! LOL I haven't seen one of those beauties in a while!!

  3. Love the flowers, looks very retro! You should try hitting up pinterest.com for wedding ideas. There's sooooo many! I like these examples: Jigsaw Puzzle Guest books, Tree Thumbprint poster, and Jenga blocks. Good luck on your finals! and congrats!
